Come visit the museum during the Port Clinton Lighthouse & Maritime Festival. It has an extensive photograph/video library as well as artifacts including Ottawa County items on Native Americans, early settlers, Lake Erie, Battle of Lake Erie, commercial fishing, boat building, agriculture, vineyards, the Islands, Camp Perry, military service, World War II, prisoners of war, Marblehead Lighthouse and the Port Clinton Lighthouse. The newest addition to the collection is the Civil War diaries of George O. Bailey donated by his granddaughter from Winchester, VA. Mr. Bailey is related to Ottawa County's Kleinhans and Wonnell families. George's parents are buried in the Catawba Island cemetery.
Admission is free and the museum is handicap accessible.
