The Lakeside Heritage Society (LHS) houses its collection of historical records on Lakeside, the Marblehead Peninsula and the Chautauqua Movement in America in its new archives at 210 Walnut Avenue in downtown Lakeside.
The archives will be open from Memorial Day Weekend to Labor Day Weekend Monday - Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.. Volunteers will be present to respond to research requests. Heritage Hall Museum which displays the LHS artifacts will be open during the summer season Tuesday - Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Scavenger hunts are offered each day for children.
Guided walking tours are conducted on the Lakeside grounds on Wednesday and Friday mornings. Lectures on local history topics are held on Sunday afternoons.
